Marketing platform Noise is revolutionizing the way brands connect with everyday content creators, offering a more democratic and affordable alternative to traditional influencer marketing. Rather than relying on established personalities, Noise allows anyone with a smartphone to join campaigns and earn per view, creating a vast network of creators across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
The platform’s CEO, Diego Kafie, believes that 57% of young people and over 40% of U.S. adults are eager to become content creators. Noise is tapping into this desire, offering a scalable and cost-effective solution for brands to reach a wide audience. By paying creators based on views, rather than a flat fee, Noise aims to democratize content creation and provide opportunities to millions of people.
Diego Kafie and his team launched Noise after building a mobile game app, Playbite, where they experimented with different creative marketing strategies. They found that teaching regular people to create social content could be more cost-effective than hiring established influencers. This experience led them to create Noise, which now boasts over 1.5 million creators.
The recent $5.5 million seed funding will be used to expand product capabilities and hire more staff. Additionally, Noise has launched its Organic-to-Ads program, allowing brands to run paid ads behind the videos created by Noise creators. This gives brands unprecedented content diversity and reach, at a fraction of the cost of traditional marketing.
Kafie sees Noise as a way for everyday people to get around the stress, time and money required to become a big influencer on their own. By providing training and opportunities, Noise is enabling millions of people to make their first dollar on the internet, potentially creating a more diverse and inclusive content landscape.
