The rapid integration of AI tools into corporate environments is raising alarm bells among security experts. According to Shahar Bahat, CEO of Pluto Security, these tools can infiltrate companies within hours of release, with non-developers, particularly in finance and marketing, being the biggest culprits.
Pluto Security, which has just emerged from stealth mode, has secured $42 million in funding and is leveraging AI to monitor and control these tools. The startup has already attracted several high-profile clients, including Oscar Health and AlphaSense, and has achieved $2 million in annual recurring revenue in just a few months.
Bahat notes that the risks aren’t confined to large tech companies, emphasizing that every organization, regardless of size, faces unique threats. The company’s software can identify risky components, spot dangerous activities, and enforce security policies without hindering employee productivity. Pluto’s proactive approach involves deploying sensors and gathering real-time data on agent behavior to ensure security.
Interestingly, Pluto’s Plutonium platform allows anyone to check the risks associated with publicly available AI skills, connectors, and add-ons, turning the community into a valuable source of feedback and potential customers.
