Adobe has unveiled its new AI assistant, Firefly, which can perform tasks across multiple Adobe apps like Photoshop and Express. Users can describe what they want to create, and the AI will handle the rest.
The assistant offers text prompts, buttons, and sliders for control over outputs and suggests actions that can be orchestrated between different apps. It learns from user preferences over time, adapting to their creative workflow.
Firefly also introduces skills, such as social media asset adaptation, which can help users tailor images for various platforms. This integration could streamline workflows and make Adobe's suite of tools more accessible to a broader audience.
In an era where AI is increasingly prevalent in creative industries, Firefly challenges the notion that machines might one day eclipse human creativity. According to Alexandru Costin, vice president at Adobe, it aims to remove friction from using its extensive toolset and bring value directly to customers' fingertips.
