Dispute-tracking fintech Glimpse has raised $35 million, led by a16z. The company helps retailers automate financial deduction processes, saving them time and money on tedious accounting tasks.
Founder Akash Raju attributes the pivot to gaining insights into retail chaos during their first startup venture. Now, Glimpse reviews deductions, flags invalid ones, and files disputes for over 200 retail brands, including Suave and Chapstick.
Raju explains that Glimpse’s AI agents log into retailer portals, classify each deduction, validate it against internal data, and file disputes automatically. This process reduces revenue leakage by truncating a long process down to just days.
Despite its automation, the company does have humans in the loop for ensuring outcomes. Raju states that over time, Glimpse’s system gets smarter with each new integration and customer, creating a compounding data advantage across the entire network of CPG and retail brands.
Their vision is to become the AI infrastructure for CPG and retail brands, and this capital will help them continue executing towards that goal. Other companies like Revya and Confido are also tackling invalid deductions with software.
