Nvidia has unveiled its RTX Spark CPU, designed to run advanced AI agents in secure sandboxes. The chipmaker is partnering with major PC manufacturers like ASUS, Dell and HP to bring these powerful machines to market this fall.
The vision? An AI-driven future where you simply ask the computer what to do, from creative workflows to gaming, all on a laptop. Nvidia claims more than 100 software makers are now supporting their new chip, including Adobe and Blender.
However, the chip is just one piece of Nvidia's larger $200 billion AI CPU market strategy. The company has already sold $20 billion worth of its high-end server CPU called Vera. Microsoft, too, is jumping on the bandwagon, positioning their Surface Laptop Ultra as a powerhouse with RTX Spark.
Despite past failures, Nvidia seems optimistic about cracking the code on bringing AI agents to the masses. But will these PCs be affordable or luxury items? Only time—and pricing details—will tell.
