Two years after promising but failing to launch a smarter Siri, Apple unveiled its overhauled AI-powered assistant at WWDC 2026. The new “Siri AI” aims to turn the voice-controlled helper into an all-seeing companion that can access your device and the web in one fluid motion.
With the ability to draw on current world knowledge, Siri will now display text cards with results from the web or details from your text messages. It’s set to launch alongside a dedicated app and integrate seamlessly into the Dynamic Island, offering new animations and voice experiences. Users can ask for more complex tasks like writing emails or creating documents, and get feedback on their work.
On macOS, Siri is being integrated into Spotlight, allowing users to tap into it from anywhere. On watchOS, you can ask questions and take action right from your Apple Watch. The new voice experience offers a customized pace and expressivity, while dictation accuracy has seen an upgrade. With these updates, the line between human and AI assistance could get even blurrier.
