Anthropic has inked a deal with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to accelerate the deployment of its artificial intelligence models in enterprises. The partnership involves TCS creating a dedicated business unit focused on deploying Anthropic’s AI solutions and gaining early access to new model releases.
In addition, over 50,000 TCS employees will have access to Anthropic’s Claude AI assistant. Both companies plan to develop solutions for sectors including financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, and aviation. Beyond enterprise deployments, TCS businesses like Diligenta and TCS iON are set to use Claude for customer service automation and digital learning platforms respectively.
The deal follows a similar partnership between Anthropic and Infosys earlier this year, as frontier AI companies seek to secure distribution channels in the Indian market. As investors grapple with doubts about the long-term viability of India’s $315 billion IT services sector, such alliances underscore the shift towards integrating AI into everyday operations.
Anthropic has been expanding its footprint in India, opening an office and hiring leadership roles over the past year to bolster its presence. This move highlights the growing importance of India as a key market for AI technologies, despite challenges in traditional IT services.
