Google Vids: AI Avatars for Everyone

Are we entering a world where AI-generated videos are the norm, or just another tool in our digital arsenal?

Google has given its video editing software, Vids, an impressive upgrade with Veo 3.1 and Lyria models. The new AI avatars allow for more creative control over generated content, whether it’s business sizzle reels or animated party flyers. However, the service requires a paid subscription to unlock more than just a handful of creations each month. For those who do subscribe, they can look forward to 50 videos with Veo Pro and up to 1,000 with the ultra plan. On the music front, Lyria lets users create short tracks by simply specifying the desired vibe, though quality is more suited for casual use rather than professional purposes.
