Zuckerberg bets on billions of personal AI agents

Are we ready for a future where our digital assistants are always on, always watching?

Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg envisions a world where each person has their own personal AI agent by 2028. These agents could help with finances, health, relationships and household management.

Zuckerberg predicts that WhatsApp will be central to these interactions, as users increasingly rely on Meta’s AI for various tasks. But with Meta already struggling financially, investors wonder if the company can deliver on its ambitious plans without compromising profits.

Compared to competitors like Google and Anthropic, Zuckerberg remains optimistic about the future of personal AI agents. However, concerns over data usage and climate impact loom large as tech giants race to develop these assistants.

The road ahead is fraught with challenges, from ensuring privacy to addressing environmental concerns. Zuckerberg believes that these agents will form the basis for new products and revenue lines in the coming years, but only time will tell if his vision becomes reality.
