AI Transparency: EU’s New Rulebook

As AI se esvazia nas nossas vidas, a transparência será o novo desafio para as empresas.

Starting August 2nd, Europeans will be informed when they interact with AI systems. From ads to hotlines, the rules apply wide and deep.

If an ad is generated by deepfakes, it must carry a label. Chatbots and call center tech that uses AI to monitor callers’ emotions? They too must declare their nature upfront.

Even commercial use of AI for scheduling or contract negotiation will have to be disclosed, with fines up to €15 million for non-compliance. Model developers are also subject to scrutiny from the EU's new AI Office.

The law might lead to information overload and 'banner blindness,' but it promises transparency and trust in a tech-driven world. It could change how businesses operate and communicate.
