AI’s AI: Solving the Problem with More Code

Is this the dawn of self-healing software, or just more complexity in disguise?

A new startup, June, is aiming to simplify the deployment of artificial intelligence by automating the messy process of integration with existing systems. Founded by former Bonobo AI executives and backed by tech titans like Marc Benioff, the company claims its platform can scan a business's systems for inefficiencies and automatically build optimized processes.

The challenge lies not just in building agents but in making them compatible with legacy software. Efrat Rapoport, June’s CEO, explains: 'How does an agent know how to operate when you have 10 duplicate database fields that say the same thing?'

Akinmade, a chief strategy officer at CMG, notes that integrating AI models with CRM systems can be fraught with difficulties. After weeks of struggle, June’s platform provided him clarity and ease in deploying agents.

Rapoport sees June as more than just a solution; it complements the work of forward-deployed engineers by providing clear steps to optimize processes. But for some, like Akinmade, the appeal is avoiding the black box of human intervention altogether.
