Runable aims to level up AI for business

Is this the dawn of AI that actually makes businesses grow, or just another tool in the tech toolbox?

Indian startup Runable has raised $21 million to focus on helping small businesses thrive beyond mere app and website creation. Their AI agent is designed to find customers, manage ad campaigns and promote businesses across various platforms.

The co-founder, Umesh Kumar, asserts that what matters most for businesses are tangible results rather than cutting-edge technology. Runable has already seen rapid growth since launching payments in March, reaching a $2 million annualized revenue run rate within three weeks.

However, the challenge lies in standing out against larger tech giants and coding platforms that now offer similar services. Runable’s advantage is its ability to handle the entire process from infrastructure setup to marketing without requiring users to piece together multiple tools.

Despite its ambitious goals, Runable faces financial hurdles due to negative gross margins. They are working on reducing costs through better models and lower inference prices. The company hopes that their AI can ultimately help small business owners achieve customer growth more easily than managing various tech services separately.
