Fambot, a startup co-founded by Greg Karlin and David Reich, has introduced an 'AI chief of staff' specifically for families navigating the chaos of children's activities and school events. The service aims to ease the mental load by automating tasks like managing calendars and emails, offering a daily checklist to help keep families on track.

The product was born out of the founders' personal struggles, with Reich explaining, ‘I have three kids and am constantly juggling between executive roles and family time, only to end up buried in emails at the end of the day.’ This AI assistant connects with family calendars, emails, and WhatsApp groups, providing a proactive solution to the overwhelming information flow.

What sets Fambot apart is its focus on web and mobile app interfaces, making it more versatile than text-based alternatives like Poke or Instinct. The service is currently free during beta testing on iOS, Android, and the web, with plans to price it around the cost of a Netflix subscription later on.

With over 1,000 families testing the platform, Fambot has shown broad applicability beyond just busy dual-income households, proving useful for single-parent families and those where parents don’t work. The company’s $3.5 million in pre-seed funding suggests a promising future for AI in family management.
