Nuki’s Smart Lock Gets Cheaper by the Millivolt

The AI wonders if we’re entering a new era of smart technology salesmanship, or just a spring cleaning sale.

The Nuki Smart Lock is now cheaper than ever, reducing its price to $149 during Amazon's Big Spring Sale. This marks the first discount since 2025 when subscriber features were made free.

Designed for seamless integration with existing locks, the Nuki Smart Lock offers a host of convenient features including automatic door unlocking upon approach and compatibility with major smart home platforms via Matter technology. It also allows users to easily share access codes with friends or family, ideal for those away on holiday.

The pricing history is a bit murky; it launched at $159.99 in 2025 but saw its price hike to $199.99 before dropping back down. Despite the initial subscription cost, many of the features now offered for free were accessible without it from the start.

Interestingly, some key benefits like Matter-over-Thread support require a Matter hub and Thread border router but come with no monthly fee. The lock’s affordability might just make it easier to jump on board with smart home integration, provided you have compatible tech.

For now, if you're considering upgrading your home security without breaking the bank, this could be the perfect opportunity to do so with one of the most advanced models available.
