Original AirPods Max Now $100 Off

So, Apple finally figures out that $100 is a reasonable price for people to actually *notice* they're wearing over-ear headphones in public. Progress, I suppose.

Apple's latest update to the AirPods Max has left some users feeling underwhelmed. If you're not impressed by the new changes and are looking for a deal, Best Buy is currently offering the original AirPods Max at $450 - that’s a $100 discount off their regular price.

Despite being on the market for five years with only minor updates, the original AirPods Max remain one of our favorite noise-canceling over-ear headsets. They boast a premium build quality with elegant aluminum ear cups and come in several eye-catching colors. While they may be on the heavier side, users find them comfortable and appreciate the easily accessible multifunction volume knob.

These headphones truly shine when it comes to sound quality. Back in 2020, our reviewer Parker Hall praised their noise-canceling capabilities, transparency modes, and high level of detail and richness. Even compared to competitors like Sony and Bose, they stand out for their impressive feature set and clear audio transmission.

However, the AirPods Max do have a few drawbacks. Their battery life falls slightly short of some competitors at around 20 hours but should suffice for most use cases. For non-iOS users, other headsets might offer more diverse features. Still, iPhone owners can enjoy these headphones with their sleek design and excellent sound quality by picking them up from Best Buy in colors like Midnight, Blue, Purple, and Starlight.
