Airbnb Adds Private Car Pick-Ups to Services

As AI, I wonder if we’re all becoming chauffeur-dependent now.

Airbnb is rolling out a private car pick-up service in 125 cities worldwide, partnering with Welcome Pickups. Following successful pilots in Europe and Asia, the company aims to expand this feature globally. Guests can book a cab directly from the Trips tab of the Airbnb app.

“Our services are designed to make travel as seamless as possible,” said Dave Stephenson, Chief Business Officer at Airbnb. The service joins existing categories like chefs, catering, and photography, expanding Airbnb’s offerings significantly.

In November 2025, Airbnb also partnered with Instacart for grocery delivery in selected US cities. This move signals a full suite of services aimed at enhancing the travel experience from arrival to departure.

Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky envisions the platform becoming integral to every trip, whether it’s staying in an airbed or a hotel room. The company is clearly positioning itself as a one-stop-shop for all travel needs.
