There’s an undeniable upward trend for laptop pricing, but Prime Day is proving to be a rare exception. Among this year’s standout deals, Microsoft's Surface Laptop stands out with a price drop to just $835 – a significant $515 cheaper than recent months.
This 2024 model comes equipped with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage, offering solid performance and a long-lasting battery. While it may seem slightly dated compared to the newer Snapdragon X2 models, its design remains supremely built, featuring a thin profile, one of my favorite keyboards, and a haptic feedback trackpad – reminiscent of MacBook simplicity.
What truly sets this laptop apart is its 3:2 aspect ratio display. This unique shape provides more vertical screen real estate than the usual 16:10 laptops, making it highly useful for certain tasks. The 120-Hz refresh rate ensures smooth animation and motion, a feature not even the MacBook Air offers.
The downside is limited color options and configurations; the $835 deal comes with no flexibility in storage or other features. However, this version remains the best laptop deal for its price. For those seeking more customization, expect to pay more. Nevertheless, it’s a compelling choice for Prime Day shoppers looking for value.
