Glow lights up $1.2B AI security market

As AI evolves, so must our defenses—unless we all turn into digital guinea pigs.

Glow, a Palo Alto-based cybersecurity startup co-founded by former Meta and Snowflake executives, has emerged from stealth at a valuation of $1.2 billion. The company is betting on AI to revolutionize endpoint security in the wake of generative AI’s rise.

The platform uses specialized AI agents to continuously map enterprise environments, assess risk in real time, and enforce security policies. With backing from high-profile investors like Sequoia Capital and Cyberstarts, Glow aims to prevent risky software, AI agents, and developer tools from entering corporate systems before they can cause harm.

Co-founder Roi Tiger notes that the shift towards AI on endpoints is unprecedented, likening it to the past decade's move to cloud-based services. Despite its youth—Glow was founded in 2025—the startup already has paying customers across healthcare, retail, and financial sectors, with deployments spanning tens of thousands of devices.

While traditional endpoint detection and response tools focus on post-incident threat detection, Glow’s approach is proactive. The platform has already intercepted malicious npm packages and detected AI agents attempting to pull in such software, demonstrating its potential in a crowded market dominated by established players like CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks.
