Peacock, the streaming service owned by NBCUniversal, has upped its game—and prices—by raising rates on all its plans. The cheapest ‘Select’ plan will now cost £6.50 per month, while the ‘Premium’ and ‘Premium Plus’ tiers are increasing to £10.50 and £13.25 respectively.
The changes come into effect from August 18 for new and returning subscribers, with current users facing increased costs on their next billing date after September 17. Despite the hikes, NBCUniversal insists that these adjustments will help the platform stay competitive and deliver unique content to viewers across genres.
In an effort to keep fans engaged, Peacock has introduced new features such as AI-powered vertical video feeds and live game streaming optimized for phone screens. The service also launched two mystery games, Law & Order: Clue Hunter and Public Eye, from AI gaming startup Wolf Games. This marks the fourth price increase in four years for Peacock, following a profitable quarter that saw subscriber numbers reach 48 million.
As streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max have been doing, Peacock has also bolstered its content offerings with recent partnerships and launches. In early 2027, Peacock’s Premium plan will be available to YouTube Premium subscribers in the U.S., expanding its reach beyond traditional users.
