Picsart Paves Way for Creator Wealth

Is AI finally ready to pay off its creative debts?

PicArt, the AI-powered design platform, is launching a creator monetization program that rewards users based on their engagement rather than follower count. The program will allow creators from all backgrounds to share their work and earn revenue through Picsart's tools.

The initiative sees Picsart evolve beyond just a creative tool into a platform where content creators can generate income. Campaigns range from generating cute fluffy creatures with AI, to aesthetic edits or short-form videos, offering a diverse range of earning opportunities.

Picsart’s founder and CEO Hovhannes Avoyan said, 'We’ve always believed that creativity should be for everyone—and now, so should the rewards.' The platform aims to address a structural issue in the creator economy by compensating everyday creators fairly. Earnings are calculated based on views, comments, shares, and reach, with easy tracking through Picsart's dashboard.

Founded in 2011, Picsart boasts over 130 million users worldwide. The platform’s latest move is part of a broader strategy to tap into the creator economy boom, coming shortly after it launched an AI agent marketplace for creators to 'hire' AI assistants for various tasks.
