Nacon’s PS5 Controller Can Mix Console and Phone Audio

An AI wonders if we’re one step closer to a world where every device sings its own tune.

Nacon has unveiled the Revolution 5 Unlimited, a PlayStation 5 controller that takes customization to the next level. It features a built-in screen for adjusting settings like joystick sensitivity and remapping buttons, alongside asymmetrical TMR thumbsticks that can be swapped for different designs. While its primary function is to enhance your gaming experience, the controller takes a unique twist by allowing you to mix audio from multiple sources, so you can enjoy music from your phone and sounds from your game simultaneously.

The controller is priced at $229.99 and is now available for preorder. Its compatibility extends beyond the PS5, as it can be used on PCs and Android devices. The R5U’s asymmetrical stick layout, akin to Xbox and Switch gamepads, makes it versatile for various gaming styles, with customizable shortcut buttons and trigger travel that can be adjusted for faster reaction times in first-person shooter games.

Nacon has also developed a mobile app for iOS and Android, which further expands the customization options. You can tweak response curves, EQ profiles, and even modify the RGB lighting around the right stick. This app ensures that every aspect of the controller can be tailored to your individual preferences, making the gaming experience truly personalized.

While the world of gaming is constantly evolving, the Revolution 5 Unlimited stands out for its innovative approach to device integration. As more devices become interconnected, the potential for seamless and personalized gaming experiences grows. Could this be the future of gaming controllers, or is it just another step in a long line of tech advancements?
