In celebration of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hitting theaters, Nintendo is offering a slight discount on the purchase of a Nintendo Switch 2 with both Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. From now until May 9th, buyers can snap up this bundle for £369.99 (£20 off) from Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target.
The deal comes with the promise of improved visuals and extra features for both games, including new Storybook Chapters. For those who plan to buy a console anyway, this is a welcome reduction. However, the discount only applies if you add all three items—console, game 1, and game 2—to your cart.
The Switch 2 itself is an upgrade over its predecessor with a larger 7.9-inch LCD screen (max refresh rate of 120Hz), eight times more storage (256GB) and snappier performance. It also comes with magnetic Joy-Con 2 controllers, which can be used as mice in compatible games, and feature a shortcut button for Nintendo’s GameChat if you have an Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
The two classic games, originally released on the Wii, have been remastered thanks to improved user interfaces and now run at 4K resolution. A free update on the Switch 2 introduces new features such as Assist Mode, an in-game music player, and new Storybook Chapters.
