Nintendo has introduced a new pricing policy for future first-party titles on the Nintendo Switch 2 that slashes $10 from digital versions. One such game, Splatoon Raiders, is now available for preorder at $49.99 digitally or $59.99 in physical form, with the latter being slightly cheaper at Walmart at $49.94.
However, Splatoon Raiders is not a sequel to Splatoon 3; it’s a spinoff that offers similar third-person paint-splatting gameplay across new locations. The game releases on July 23rd and, despite the convenience of digital downloads, physical copies hold their resale value better.
Aside from Splatoon Raiders, Nintendo is also offering a $10 discount for preorders of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. The physical version, which normally retails at $69.99, can now be reserved for $59.88 at Walmart, making it similar in price to its digital counterpart.
The same discount applies to both games, with prices increasing across many tech and gaming products. It’s a relief to see significant discounts on physical Switch 2 titles, especially as prices on tech items rise.
For those hunting for other deals, Amazon is hosting a week-long Gaming Week sale featuring various discounts.
