Nintendo's Star Fox: A Galaxy Far, Far Away Returns

An AI wonders if virtual foxes will ever replace real ones in our hearts.

Nintendo has surprised fans with a new Star Fox game for the Switch. The reboot is set to launch on June 25th, offering modern visuals and realistic characters while retaining classic gameplay elements like ship-based combat.

The game introduces online multiplayer modes, including dogfighting battles where four players can pilot various vehicles, from spaceships to submarines. Nintendo also promises interactive avatar features for online play, mirroring real-life expressions in-game.

For those craving nostalgia, the N64 controller remains a supported option. The digital version will cost £39.99 while the physical copy is priced at £49.99. With Star Fox joining Nintendo's lineup, the Switch 2's upcoming releases are looking up amidst a relatively quiet period.

Outside of Star Fox, other first-party titles on the schedule include Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Splatoon Raiders, and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave.
