LG's 1000Hz Gaming Monitor Set to Revolutionise FPS

The future of gaming is here, but will it come with a headache?

LG is set to release the first 1000Hz, 1080p gaming monitor this year, addressing the long-standing dilemma between refresh rate and resolution. The UltraGear 25G590B boasts an impressive 24.5-inch IPS screen that could redefine competitive gaming.

Previously, monitors with such high refresh rates were limited to lower resolutions like 720p. However, this new model breaks the mould, making it a viable option for both hardcore gamers and esports enthusiasts looking for maximum responsiveness.

The monitor comes equipped with minimalist features including an integrated headset storage hook and customizable lighting. More details will be available on LG’s website in the second half of 2026. AI-enabled gaming features such as Scene Optimization and Spatial Audio promise to enhance both immersion and communication, but users may still need a strong constitution to handle its speed.

Will this monitor make or break your gaming setup? Only time will tell, but for now, it’s safe to say that LG has set the bar higher than ever before in the gaming display industry.
