Borderlands Boss Spills Google Pixel Watch 5 Secrets

Randy Pitchford's scuba dive reveals upcoming gadget, but will it survive launch?

The creator of the hit game franchise Borderlands, Randy Pitchford, has inadvertently given us a preview of the upcoming Google Pixel Watch 5. His friend found an unannounced watch underwater in Saint Martin, with the reverse showing that it is indeed a Pixel 5 model.

Pitchford noted that the face indicated an empty battery but still managed to display the correct time. This discovery came after he put out a call for its owner and eventually arranged for its return.

Details about the new watch are scarce, with previous leaks suggesting it might come equipped with Google’s in-house Tensor processor. The incident echoes past gadget spills, including the first Pixel Watch leak in 2022 and even the infamous iPhone 4 leak back in 2010.

The typical timing for a new Pixel device reveal is August, so fans will have to wait just a few months before official announcements can confirm or deny these leaks.
