Witcher 4: 2028, Finally!

CD Projekt Red keeps us waiting, but at least it’s not forever.

CD Projekt Red has announced that the highly anticipated The Witcher 4 will be released sometime in 2028. Joint CEO Michał Nowakowski dropped this bombshell during a recent video unveiling.

While the wait is grueling, there’s some solace in knowing that fans won’t have to endure it for too much longer. The studio plans to unveil Songs of the Past, an expansion to The Witcher 3, at Gamescom next month, with a release date set for late 2027.

Meanwhile, development on a multiplayer spinoff titled Project Siris continues, but it’s been hit by some internal shuffling. Earlier this year, CD Projekt Red announced that they had laid off staff working on the project, hinting at potential delays or changes to its scope.

In the meantime, game enthusiasts can still feast their eyes on other popular tech and media news, with stories ranging from the existence of Grand Theft Auto VI to advancements in humanoid robotics.
