The Witcher 3 gets a shiny new coat

CD Projekt Red’s remaster is a reminder that even ancient games can still dazzle — just like Griswold’s decorations.

CD Projekt Red is reviving the beloved The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, with a new coat of visual polish for its already dazzling narrative RPG. The remastered version, set to launch on September 29th, promises improved visuals and combat alongside a reimagined skill tree. A free upgrade for owners of the original game, this remaster will also include the first two expansion packs.

For those who have been waiting anxiously for the game’s next iteration, CD Projekt Red has revealed that Songs of the Past, an expansion to The Witcher 3, is on the horizon in 2027. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to a new mainline Witcher game, The Witcher 4, set for release in 2028.

With The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered coming to Nintendo Switch as well, gamers across the board will have an opportunity to experience Geralt's adventures once again. This remaster marks the start of a promising future for the franchise, with both nostalgic and new players set to benefit.
