Space Photos Spark iPhone Ad Debate

Is Apple missing a celestial marketing opportunity?

Incredible photos from the Artemis II mission, taken on an iPhone 17 Pro Max, are going viral. NASA has released images of Earth and the Moon captured by astronauts aboard Orion, with three particularly striking shots shot using the phone’s front camera.

The iPhone's photography prowess is being hailed as a strong argument for its position in space exploration. However, many are calling on Apple to use these photos in their 'Shot on iPhone' campaign billboard ads.

These images aren't just visually impressive; they also highlight the stringent testing iPhones undergo before entering space, including checks for safety and functionality in microgravity conditions.

If Apple does decide to feature these photos, it could be a powerful marketing tool. Yet, if left unutilised, some might see this as a colossal missed opportunity.
