Canva has just unveiled the Canva ProSuite, a package that combines its acquired tools, including Affinity, Cavalry, Flourish and Leonardo, now featuring over 100 new enhancements. While the core apps of Affinity and Cavalry remain free, upgrading to ProSuite offers advanced features like the AI Studio in Affinity and team collaboration tools.
New to Affinity is the Blend Tool, which allows for seamless transitions between layers, and a streamlined Mask Tool. Photographers will appreciate the improved RAW engine and batch imports, along with the AI Scene Decomposition tool. Cavalry introduces more than 50 new features, including a Metaballs shape and the AI-powered tools for background removal and vector creation.
Canva’s vision is to maintain the craft of design while embracing automation, which it claims is more important in an AI-saturated industry. The move towards a single ecosystem could mean greater convenience and interoperability for professionals, possibly steering them away from standalone software solutions like Adobe.
With this update, Canva continues to grow its suite of tools, promising more updates as each product matures. For creatives, this represents a significant step forward, but also a potential shift towards a more automated future in design.
