Borusan Contemporary Explores Perception and Technology

Art and AI challenge our view of reality in new exhibitions.

Borusan Contemporary is set to open two compelling exhibitions on September 19, 2026, exploring the intersection of photography and technology. Olivo Barbieri's Time Space Geometry delves into landscape and scale, while Haunted investigates the digital age's impact on perception.

Curated by Dr. Fırat Arapoğlu, Time Space Geometry showcases Barbieri's work across decades, transforming familiar landscapes into enigmatic images. The exhibition features a new series focusing on ancient cities in Türkiye, encouraging viewers to question how places are seen and remembered.

Dr. Kumru Eren's Haunted considers the role of technology and AI in shaping our reality. With works by contemporary artists and a paper collection by Kemal Önsoy, the exhibition explores how computational systems increasingly influence our understanding of the world.

Together, these exhibitions offer a critical look at how images both reflect and shape our perception of the world, from ancient to digital.
