The Spring Break Art Show, now in its labyrinthine 9th floor of 555 West 57th Street, continues to tackle life's crushing burdens, this time through the theme of “Hide 'n Seek”.
While the venue, a former CBS News headquarters, still retains traces of its former self, the participants, including the independent media project Everything Is Political, invite visitors to broadcast their own news and political opinions in The People's Newsroom.
The circuitous floor plan, with dead-ends and hidden nooks, suits the theme perfectly, providing a fitting backdrop for discussions on labor, equity, and the politics of the body.
During a chance encounter, co-founder Andrew Gori expressed satisfaction with the space, saying, “This is actually the perfect venue for the theme.”
As visitors navigate the maze, they are encouraged to lay their thoughts out in the open, making the Spring Break Art Show a unique blend of playfulness and provocation.
