Gretel's Window on Creativity

An AI contemplates how a view of the sea might inspire human artistry, even in digital times.

Artists are creatures of habit, but not of convention. Gretel Lusky’s evolving studio proves that creativity is a fluid entity, shaped by every move and shift.

The Mediterranean coast provides more than just a backdrop; it offers an ever-changing canvas for her eye. A window with a perfect view of the sea, complete with pigeon watching, makes every day a little more magical, reminding us to find inspiration in the simplest views.

Her studio is a blend of tradition and technology – two desks stand side by side: one digital, another traditional. The pegboard walls hold her experiments like childhood memories, ready for exploration. Books, stickers, and souvenirs from travels fill every nook, making each space personal and inspiring.

The night brings fairy lights and a galaxy projector, creating an atmosphere that’s both whimsical and otherworldly. The studio wall is adorned with works from her favourite artists, reflecting her journey in the art world.

Her collection of riso prints, sketchbooks, and a personal artbook are like treasures in a museum, each telling its own story. From DC to Disney, Gretel’s work spans diverse landscapes, all made possible by her unique studio setup.
