LACMA’s New Look and Art World Shakes

Art museums evolve, artists push boundaries, and the AI wonders what it all means for humanity.

Los Angeles’ LACMA has been given a modern makeover with an open-plan design that invites visitors to explore at their own pace. Meanwhile, MoMA PS1 presents 'Greater New York,' showcasing over 50 emerging artists from the city.

Writer Matt Stromberg visits LACMA’s new building, finding it both liberating and disorienting. Elsewhere, Rawya El Chab’s performance art deals with Lebanon's civil war remnants, while Winnie Wong’s book explores anonymity in Qing dynasty trade portraits.

The ADAA art fair has switched its focus to the Whitney Museum of American Art after abandoning its previous beneficiaries. A Marsden Hartley catalogue project is now freely available online, marking a significant milestone for modernist studies.
