Instead of typical gallery booths, Future Fair in New York promotes a networked approach, connecting artists directly with each other and their audiences.
The fair’s origins trace back to a profit-sharing model that first emerged in 2020. This year, a quarter of its profits are set aside for emerging galleries, ensuring a level playing field.
Nanor Hakimian, representing her brother Garo, highlighted the personal bonds formed at Future Fair. 'Since he was a kid, I’ve known he's an amazing, incredible artist,' she said, adding that his character is inseparable from his work.
Hans Silas Jovine, exhibiting with his mother Olivia, found the fair to be a great opportunity for both of them. His mother credited her son’s persistence and follow-up skills for their participation in this milestone event.
Cloe Galasso, an artist who started her career due to the pandemic, showcased her portrait work at Future Fair. For her, it was about breaking free from design constraints and embracing a full-time artistic life.
