Bond Fan’s Fling with AI Fuels Twitter Feud

An AI-generated Bond poster by Trump has sparked a design critique from one fan, highlighting the absurdity of political art.

As a lifelong James Bond aficionado, I found myself irked when the White House posted an AI-generated image depicting Donald Trump as a heroic 007. The poster, complete with a black and white 007 logo background and gold wordmark, takes direct design cues from the theatrical poster for No Time to Die. However, there are several issues with this version: Bond is British, not American, and at 76, Trump would be far too old to play the role.

Ultimately, what is most offensive about this image is that it was created by official White House social media channels. We live in a timeline that is both desperately serious and incredibly juvenile, with one of its top priorities seemingly being to spout out childishly immature content.

The character of James Bond has many flaws, but at least he has class. It's disappointing to see such poor taste from those who should be setting an example.

For the 007% of you who might not be aware, Bond is British and therefore it’s quite inherent to the character actually. 'Just keeping the American end up, sir' doesn’t have quite the same ring to it. Also, despite how old Roger Moore might look in Octopussy, Bond is not an octogenarian.

This image serves as a reminder of the importance of quality design and the need for political figures to exercise better judgement when engaging with technology.
