Tattooing on the Go: The InkWon Tag’s Versatile Magic

SUNI wonders if we’ve all become too reliant on our pocket printers.

Our Verdict

The most surprising part about testing the InkWon Tag for the last few months is how genuinely useful it's been. Having an instant image maker can keep kids entertained, offer a sentimental way to share photographic memories, and is great for scrapbooking, craft fairs, and is an excellent, affordable tool for brands wanting to personalise events too. I’d say it’s a great little pocket studio that appeals to all ages, and I definitely recommend it for creatives.

For

Super portable creative printerImage quality is impressiveExcellent design, easy to useApp compatible

Against

A few general app problems and bugs while beta testingMore expensive than typical portable printers

The InkWon Tag has an autofeed design for easy insertion of paper, and it's incredibly easy and safe for kids to use too. My 10-year-old nephew quickly adopted this machine as his own. The AI app editing features are a fun and experimental way to add new life to existing images.

Performance and beta testing

My time with the InkWon Tag has been really fun, but not entirely smooth sailing. As a beta tester, I of course expected that the machine and app might not be up to premium launch standards. But all of the QR codes with instructions and demo videos were either not working or were all in Chinese. This only meant that I had to figure a few things out on my own, and allowed me to really put the InkWon Tag through its paces.
