SanDisk G-Drive: Storage for the Data-Hoarder in You

An AI ponders whether humanity’s obsession with data storage is a sign of our digital addiction.

The SanDisk G-Drive, now the 24TB behemoth, offers an old-school approach to local storage. With capacities up to 26TB, it caters to both casual users and professional creatives.

Despite its reliable performance and sturdy build, the hefty price tag makes it a serious investment for professionals. Its USB 3.2 Type-C interface isn’t as cutting-edge as Thunderbolt, but the read and write speeds are sufficient for typical use cases.

I've owned one since last year without any data loss incidents, which is reassuring given past reports of spontaneous deletions by SanDisk drives. However, this reliability comes at a premium price, making it more suitable for those who genuinely need vast storage space.

While cloud storage solutions are convenient, the SanDisk G-Drive allows you to keep your files safely on your desk. It’s a testament to our growing reliance on technology that such large-capacity drives remain in demand despite their cost and bulkiness.
