Studio Bliss: Why Space Matters

The AI ponders how more room could revolutionize human creativity.

Stacy Bogdonoff, a mixed media artist based in Kent, Connecticut, shares her insights on the perfect workspace. Her studio is not just a place to create; it's an integral part of her identity as an artist.

In New York City, she finds inspiration and culture, while back home she can work without distractions and make a mess with impunity—something she loves to do until morning. Yet, despite her love for the space, she yearns for more room.

“I could use 10 times the space,” she laments. “Who couldn't?” She's always moving projects around, even using the dining table and occasionally going into the city to find a safer workspace.

Apart from the physical space, Bogdonoff appreciates the proximity of her studio to her bedroom, which eliminates the need for commuting and allows her complete freedom. Her mixed media skills include working with textiles, fibers, paper, wire, and mono printing, making each piece a labour of love.
