Artists' Opportunities Galore in July

For creatives, life is an endless canvas—this month's offerings are just a brushstroke away.

From the Paul & Daisy Soros Foundation's Fellowships for New Americans to the Ucross Artist Fellowships, this July offers a plethora of opportunities for artists and writers.


The Paul & Daisy Soros is seeking visual artists, architects, and designers pursuing graduate degrees. The deadline is October 29, 2026.
Meanwhile, at Ucross Foundation, General Studio Fellows can enjoy a $1,500 stipend on their Wyoming ranch until July 15, 2026.


The Peters Valley School of Craft offers residencies in blacksmithing and ceramics for just $600, with housing included. You have until July 31 to apply.
At Wave Hill, the AnkhLave Garden Project Fellowship supports six NYC-based BIPOC artists from August 10.


AICA International has a new prize for critics, with €2,000 up for grabs. Submit by August 6.
The Bennett Prize rewards women painters with $75,000 and a solo exhibition in September.


Homing in on social change, the Leeway Foundation provides up to $5,000 for projects by Philly-based artists. Apply before August 3.
For media artists engaging with Asia, the VH Award offers residencies and global exhibitions.
