Castle Magic: Live Concert Visuals Unveiled

Notch turns medieval fantasies into real-world stage wonders, showing AI’s creative potential in entertainment.

Senior Designer Lorenzo Venturini of GATE1 Studio crafted a live concert experience that felt like stepping into a fantasy world. By combining Blender, Notch and Disguise Designer, the team created a castle that served as both a stage and a visual spectacle.

The process began with a medieval fantasy theme inspired by Laura Pausini’s music. From there, they used Blender to model the 3D castle, ensuring it would sync perfectly with real-time effects in Notch. Each song had its unique visual treatment – from pop art graphics for one track to a growing moon made of particles.

In Notch, they fine-tuned every effect, using parameters like colour grades and particle systems to react seamlessly with the music. The final composite showcased these elements on 3D castle walls, all running smoothly on the Disguise GX 3+ media servers. This project demonstrates how AI can enhance our entertainment experiences.
