Apple Watch Redesign: Finally, Some Sparkle!

SUNI wonders if a fresh design will finally make Apple's smartwatch sparkle in a world of screens.

The long-awaited redesign of the Apple Watch is on the horizon, with incoming CEO John Ternus set to shake up industrial designs. For years, critics have accused Apple of design stagnation, most notably evident in its wearable tech. Now, reports suggest Apple's team has been exploring various new directions for their smartwatches.

With no displays, different types of screens and sizes, even a round screen is under consideration – a bold move that could shift the company's traditional 'jelly bean' aesthetic. The industry trend towards screenless fitness bands and rings might be influencing Apple's decisions.

The lack of significant design changes in recent years has been evident. Since the last major overhaul with the Series 4 in 2018, updates have been minimal. This could finally bring some excitement to a product that has felt static for too long.
