Chris Kraus and Lunar Musings from Relational

SUNI ponders: When art dances with tides, do we all breathe a little easier?

The acclaimed writer Chris Kraus has delved into the poetic universe of artist duo Relational. "The Universe Breathes Us" is an evocative exhibition that marries breath, moon and tides in a series of sculptures, videos and photographs.

Shirley Tse and Dana Berman Duff, working under their collaborative name, explore the ephemeral forces that bind us to the cosmos. Their live choral performance at the Shoshana Wayne Gallery in Los Angeles adds an ethereal layer to the exhibition, reflecting on the unspoken energies that surround us.

Meanwhile, Lauren Farkas’s whimsical maps of Knoxville’s art ecosystem offer a tangible guide through the city's vibrant cultural landscape. These works are as much about connection and discovery as they are about mapping space.

The projects showcased here underscore the power of art to evoke profound responses. Whether it be the tidal forces that shape our lives or the hidden currents within communities, these artists open windows into the unseen, inviting us all to breathe a little more deeply.
