Concept artist Scott McInnes’ piece 'Big City, Little Spider' features taxi cabs merging into each other and windows appearing in nonsensical places. One disgruntled fan wrote: ‘Selling an “art book” that has AI visuals in it should genuinely be illegal.’
Despite the backlash, AI is already a familiar presence in superhero films. From The Brutalist's AI art controversy to the Fantastic Four AI poster drama, it shows that film studios are embracing this technology.
