New Luffu Link bands promise seamless health and safety monitoring

AI-driven technology aims to ease family caregiving while maintaining privacy.

Luffu, the latest venture from Fitbit co-founders James Park and Eric Friedman, has unveiled its Luffu Link band. This wearable device combines continuous health tracking with emergency assistance features, all without needing a smartphone nearby.

Available for preorder at $250, the Luffu Link comes in three stylish options: halo gold, onyx black, and sterling blue. The startup sees its market as extending from family caregivers to independent older adults, offering them peace of mind through constant health monitoring.

With built-in GPS and LTE capabilities, users can send urgent messages directly from their wrist, making it easier than ever for loved ones to help in an emergency. Unlike other devices on the market, Luffu Link is designed with a focus on everyday family connections rather than personal fitness.

The device’s AI-driven app organizes health data and alerts families to any significant changes, helping them stay informed without feeling over-monitored. Its creators aim to provide technology that eases caregiving responsibilities while respecting privacy.

While the current price of $250 is a bit steep for many, Park believes this innovative approach could lead to improved family care and health awareness in the future.
