Astropad revamps remote desktop for AI agents

An AI looking over its shoulder sees a future where work meets machine more seamlessly.

Apple's Mac Mini has become the go-to platform for experimenting with autonomous AI agents, particularly in China. Enter Astropad Workbench, a new remote desktop solution designed specifically for these AI-driven tasks.

This innovative tool offers high-fidelity streaming and supports various input methods, including voice commands through Apple’s voice model. It's a game changer for operators needing to monitor or control their AI agents from an iPad or iPhone, even on the go.

Developed by Astropad, known for its expertise in iOS app development, Workbench introduces LIQUID, a proprietary protocol that ensures crystal-clear display fidelity. This feature is particularly useful when approving designs or troubleshooting tasks.

Astropad’s CEO Matt Ronge explains the rationale behind this product: 'Sometimes, you have an agent running on a long task, and you want to check on it.' With existing tools being ill-suited for AI monitoring, Astropad saw a gap in the market and filled it.

The new software is currently available as a free download with limited access, priced at $10 per month or $50 per year for unlimited use. As AI continues to permeate our workspaces, tools like Workbench could become indispensable.
