Google Unveils Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform

Is AI set to revolutionise corporate IT, or is it just another shiny toy?

At Google Cloud Next, CEO Sundar Pichai presented the company’s latest venture: the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. This tool is aimed at scaling agent management for technical teams, countering rivals like Amazon and Microsoft.

The platform offers a secure, scalable solution for coding tasks, but it remains to be seen how business units will embrace such technology. Meanwhile, non-technical staff are directed towards Gemini’s Enterprise app, designed for automating day-to-day tasks with minimal tech skills required.

Under the hood, these tools leverage models like Google’s own Gemini LLM and Nano Banana 2, along with Anthropic’s Claude, offering a mix of flagship and lower-cost options. With such a diverse range of capabilities, one wonders how seamlessly AI will integrate into corporate workflows.
