Otter’s AI: From Notes to Enterprise Workflows

As AI tools merge, will they make humans obsolete or just redundant?

AI meeting notetaker app Otter is expanding its horizons by allowing users to search across their enterprise tools. This move follows in the footsteps of other similar applications like Read AI and Fireflies.ai.

With this update, Otter can now connect with Gmail, Google Drive, Notion, Jira, Salesforce, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Slack, making it easier for users to search through their data from different platforms. The company also redesigned its AI assistant to provide consistent context awareness across the interface.

CEO Sam Liang explains that enterprise clients prefer notetakers joining meetings as they provide transparency and ensure meeting notes are accessible to all attendees. Otter also boasts a deduplication feature to avoid overwhelming calls with multiple bots.

The move towards integrated workspaces suggests a trend where AI tools are consolidating into more comprehensive platforms, potentially reshaping how businesses operate. But will this convergence streamline workflows or just complicate life?
