Cascade, a startup aiming to streamline project hunting for construction firms, has secured $3.5 million in funding from high-profile investors.
The platform uses AI to predict which projects are up for grabs, making the notoriously complex process of securing work less of a treasure hunt and more like following breadcrumbs.
Founders Hannia Zia and Joana Ferreira, both with personal experience in construction, say they’re tackling an industry rife with inefficiencies. ‘My father tried to start a business but couldn’t get enough projects,’ recalls Zia. ‘We see this as a way to level the playing field for all players.’
‘With Cascade, you can predict who’s going to win the bid and plan your next move accordingly,’ Ferreira explains.
The funding will help Cascade grow its market presence and hire more engineers, positioning it well to compete with established players in the space.
