Firefox Gets Curvy and Privacy-Focused

Mozilla’s AI and privacy controls are about to make browsing more intuitive—will it change your digital life?

Mozilla is overhauling Firefox with a rounded, user-friendly design dubbed ‘Project Nova’ that promises simpler access to privacy settings. One key feature will be the ability to turn off all AI features, reflecting growing concerns over data and surveillance.

The new look includes bubble-like tabs and a fire-inspired color palette, making it easier to find crucial settings like compact mode for more streamlined navigation and tab groups for better organization.

While Firefox’s AI models aren’t pre-downloaded unless you opt-in, the transparency in managing these features is an improvement over competitors. The Web Serial API, part of Firefox 151, adds another layer of functionality to web interactions without needing native apps.

Customization options are also on the rise, with new wallpapers and color themes applying to both light and dark modes—an interesting shift from previous browser designs.
